xlarge is a gallery based in Seoul. We hold exhibitions in the actual home of director Jaeseok Kim, reimagining the long relationship between queer domesticity and contemporary art. We’re coming to meet you with Hanho, AI boyfriend model.

2000年千葉県生まれ。2023年に多摩美術大学絵画学科油画専攻を卒業。
自身と関わりのあるモチーフや無関係なモチーフを題材に絵を描く。また、それらを表す“言葉”との関係性や構造にも関心を持ち、「単語帳」というテキスト形式で表現している。

Born in Chiba Prefecture in 2000. Graduated from the Department of Painting, Oil Painting Course at Tama Art University in 2023.

The artist creates paintings based on motifs both related and unrelated to themselves. They are also interested in the relationships and structures between these motifs and the “words” that represent them, exploring these ideas through a text-based work titled Vocabulary Notebook.

Dannisonは、ファッションと親密なイメージメイキングのあいだで活動するフォトグラファーである。彼の作品は、柔らかく空気感のある視覚言語を通して、クィア、アイデンティティ、欲望を探求し、ディアスポラ的な経験によって形作られている。

代表的なフォトブック『Soft Boys Club』および『Lost in Cities』では、その実践を拡張し、ポートレートと断片的な都市イメージを通して、クィアの流動性や、身体・記憶・都市のあいだにおける変化し続ける関係性を考察している。

Dannison is a photographer working between fashion and intimate image-making. His work explores queerness, identity, and desire through a soft, atmospheric visual language shaped by diasporic experience. His photobooks, including Soft Boys Club and Lost in Cities, extend this practice through portraiture and fragmented urban imagery, reflecting on queer mobility and the shifting relationship between body, memory, and city.

Born in 1980. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Arts at Osaka University of Arts in 2003. Has been actively presenting works primarily through exhibitions since 2002. In 2021, published the art book Hana to Iruka to Yunikōn through piyo piyo press. Major solo exhibitions include “Jiga Jisan” (NADiff Gallery, Tokyo, 2011) and “Me ni Me ni Me ni shi / new boy, new page,” (GALLERY MoMo Ryogoku, Tokyo, 2021). Major group exhibitions include “Nostalgia and Fantasy: Imagination and Its Origins in Contemporary Art” (The National Museum of Art, Osaka, 2014) and “Tobimasu: Kotori Kawashima + Yosuke Kobashi” (Odate Construction 6th Floor, LE PRIEURE, Utrecht; Shizuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, 2019).

loneliness books は、アジア各地のクィア、ジェンダー、孤独や連帯にまつわる本やZINEを集める、本屋兼出版レーベルです。アジアの多様な文化や社会運動に触れられる、独自のセレクションが特徴で、見知らぬ誰かの物語に出会い、人が集まり、ほんの少しのぬくもりや連帯を感じられる——そんな場所と本づくりを目指しています。
拠点は東京・東中野のスペース「platform3」にあります。

loneliness books is a bookstore and publishing label that collects books and zines related to queerness, gender, loneliness, and solidarity from across Asia. Characterized by a unique selection that engages with diverse cultures and social movements in the region, it aims to create encounters with the stories of strangers—a space where people gather, and where one might feel a subtle sense of warmth and solidarity through books.

Based in Tokyo’s Higashi-Nakano, it operates out of the space “platform3.”

Instagramを拠点に、日本およびアジアのゲイカルチャーを紹介するとともに、zineという形でアウトプットしています。また、日本にかつて存在したゲイ雑誌をコレクションし、印象的な記事やトピックをアーカイブとして紹介しています。

今回のTOKYO MALE ART FAIRでは、「DOWN PURPLE GAY MAGAZINE LIBRARY」と題し、日本の古いゲイ雑誌を実際に手に取り、自由に閲覧できるコーナーを企画しています。あわせて、QUEERカルチャーをテーマにしたアパレルや雑貨の販売も行います。

On Instagram, the project introduces gay culture in Japan and across Asia, presenting its output in the form of zines. It also collects historical gay magazines published in Japan, introducing notable articles and topics as an archive.

For TOKYO MALE ART FAIR, it presents a special corner titled DOWN PURPLE GAY MAGAZINE LIBRARY, where visitors can freely browse and handle vintage Japanese gay magazines. In addition, apparel and goods themed around queer culture will also be available for sale.

アートディレクター／デザイナー／建築家
1995年、北海道札幌市生まれ。安藤忠雄建築研究所のインターンとロンドン留学を経て、北海道大学建築計画学研究室を卒業。OWNDAYSで世界各地の店舗設計に携わったのち、チームラボのアートディレクターとして東京・京都・シンガポール・アブダビのアートプロジェクトに参画。2026年、Netflix「THE BOYFRIEND Season 2」に出演。現在は東京を拠点に独立し、アートディレクションとデザインを軸に、空間からグラフィック、プロダクト、写真表現まで領域を横断しながら制作を手がける。

Art Director / Designer / Architect

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1995. After interning at Tadao Ando Architect & Associates and studying in London, he graduated from the Architectural Planning Laboratory at Hokkaido University. He then worked on store design projects worldwide at OWNDAYS, before joining teamLab as an art director, contributing to art projects in Tokyo, Kyoto, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. In 2026, he appeared in Netflix’s THE BOYFRIEND Season 2. He is currently based in Tokyo, working independently. His practice centers on art direction and design, spanning spatial design, graphic design, product design, and photography, working across disciplines.

スタイリスト、ファッションデザイナーを経て2015年〜Queer embroidery artistとして活動を開始。
作品のテーマは”Love”、Gayである自分自身の身の回りの日常で感じたこと、パートナーとの日々をモチーフに様々な刺繍作品の制作を行う。
主に、日本から海外に向けてオリジナル作品とカスタムオーダーの制作販売、NYのランジェリーブランドとのコラボレーションアイテムの制作、個展やグループ展、アートフェアなどに参加。

A stylist and fashion designer, the artist began working as a queer embroidery artist in 2015.Centered on the theme of “Love,” their work draws from everyday experiences as a gay individual and moments shared with their partner. Transforming these personal narratives into creative motifs, they produce a diverse range of embroidered pieces.

Their practice primarily focuses on creating and selling original and custom-made works from Japan to an international audience, alongside collaborative projects with a New York–based lingerie brand. They also frequently showcase their work in solo and group exhibitions, as well as art fairs.
